Here (right) is a photo of BIOL 106 (Marine Biology), BIOL& 241 (Human A&P 1) and BIOL& 213 (Majors Plant Biology) students at the EdCC campus community farm, on Monday afternoon, 10 April 2017.
Students helped harvest greens, plant seeds and seedlings, weed, spread compost and wood chips and more. Gwen and I (Jenny) had a great time and we all went home with some of the harvest and some strawberry plants too (see photo below).
There are weekly opportunities to volunteer at the Campus Community Farm work, including Mondays 12-2 pm, Tuesdays 11am-3pm & Thursdays 2:30-4:30pm. In addition, Gwen and I will participate in another service learning event particularly for Biology students on Monday, May 8th, 3-5pm. Please join us!
